Amy is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a Master's Degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. Amy provides psychotherapy for individuals, families, and couples at LifeStar Sacramento as well as in her private practice.
Her clinical work has focused on couples therapy, women's issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and attachment. She also has over five years working with high-risk adolescents struggling with behavioral and emotional issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and attachment. In addition, Amy has professional training and experience in Program Development as well as clinical experience and has worked as Director for crisis, residential, and outpatient programs for adults with severe mental illnesses.
Amy is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). She also founded the Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT in 2010 and served on the Board of Directors for 2 1/2 years.
